Speed test | Omega Car high-efficiency recyclable concept prototype

Casey Putsch road tests his Omega Car high-efficiency and recyclable concept car prototype for the first time. His friends are very optimistic about the car potentially getting more than 100 miles per gallon and its performance capability that may out accelerate Casey’s Dodge Viper too. Once the car testing is baselined they will tune the car for minimum emissions and get all the systems ready for tuning and achieving performance figures. After the car is sorted, Casey intends to take the car on a tour of the United States. Thank you to Avalon King Armor Shield Ceramic Coating. 3. Texas Racers on July 9, 2020 at 1:07 pm

I used to want to eventually build something very similar to the idea of this car when I was younger but I always thought the same as you and figured no one would car and it would just be a money pit. Now I may have to revive that idea😂 it looks amazing

  4. SrrTalkalot on July 9, 2020 at 1:07 pm

I dont wana be that guy… Is brian on something or what lmao

  5. Drunken Hamster on July 9, 2020 at 1:08 pm

For clarity’s sake, be sure to have real glass in the end. (I haven’t been keeping up with this project so IDK if it is already real glass or a special plexi type that won’t yellow, haze, or scratch) and also throw on some dihedral synchro-helix doors. Maybe make a 4 seater version. 🙂

  6. PiDsMedia on July 9, 2020 at 1:10 pm

    It’ll be faster in Metric,…
Casey, Gale Bank’s is gonna spank you when he see’s all that black smoke. You gotta make it run cleaner mate, black smoke is wasted fuel, that’s wasted dollars.

  7. WWM on July 9, 2020 at 1:12 pm

Every passenger in every car should carry a Fire extinguisher.

  8. Finish Dude on July 9, 2020 at 1:12 pm

    Slow and ugly

  9. Tuzik Diachenko on July 9, 2020 at 1:12 pm

This car needs the video side mirrors from the VW XL1. Then this car can be street legal.

  10. Charles Cotter lll on July 9, 2020 at 1:14 pm

Got as much power as a geo metro pump out more smog as an old Buick

  11. Noah F on July 9, 2020 at 1:14 pm

Watching this makes me want to dump a tdi in my 1999.5 Volkswagen Cabrio. It would be an obscure, but interesting convertible.

  12. Klas Peppar on July 9, 2020 at 1:14 pm

The thing with Diesels is the richer it runs the hotter it gets and the more NOX it produce.

  13. Shplay Shiggty on July 9, 2020 at 1:15 pm

I’d paint that rear inset area black just for the exhaust smut that gets caught on the lower part of the rear "spoiler thing?" Lol.

I had this question forever Is the car manual?

  15. Coolnventions on July 9, 2020 at 1:18 pm

    Is this… a diesel? lmao

Was the film car an E39 Touring?

  17. Gavin Grisham on July 9, 2020 at 1:21 pm

Would be really cool to see something like this sold one day. Any plans to make it a kit car or for production? Super interesting one look forward to more!

  18. kennytheamazing on July 9, 2020 at 1:21 pm

I forget what generation of VW engine that is, but does it not have a DPF?

  19. theBigMan ofAK on July 9, 2020 at 1:23 pm

    Cool ride

  20. Robert Heck on July 9, 2020 at 1:23 pm

  22. Riccardo Spadano on July 9, 2020 at 1:25 pm

    Sounds like a 1.9 TDI

  23. sol star on July 9, 2020 at 1:27 pm

Needs door gaskets ,terrible wind noise! Terrible outward ( blind spots) vision, smokes like a demon ,clatters like hell ,reminds me of the Opal GT 🤢

  24. FeldmannschallXando on July 9, 2020 at 1:28 pm

Does it smoke much? – rip brake light

  25. Josh Gillilan on July 9, 2020 at 1:29 pm

Go see Kraiger Performance in Lima, OH. He knows his TDI stuff and can help you with an efficiency tune.

  26. Mark Roderick on July 9, 2020 at 1:30 pm

you need to get that thing into a wind tunnel

  27. Keelan Gerken on July 9, 2020 at 1:31 pm

Plot twist: Casey Cannonballs and sets the record for fuel efficiency

  28. F B I on July 9, 2020 at 1:32 pm

Super awesome to see a special car seen drive again. Nice job💪💯

  29. Howell Strain on July 9, 2020 at 1:33 pm

I’d be interested in hearing about maintenance costs for the TDI to better understand total cost of ownership.

  30. wingerfan1 on July 9, 2020 at 1:34 pm

Meanwhile one of the rivets on his jeans is busy scratching the body.

  31. Membrane556 on July 9, 2020 at 1:37 pm

    That thing looks so cool.

  32. Ash Willfly on July 9, 2020 at 1:38 pm

It is ok to say to hell with the communist. Day of the rope is coming for them.

  33. Stefan Parocki on July 9, 2020 at 1:39 pm

There is something really good about this car – I really like its shape (front lights not so much sorry). It reminds me of some fantastic concept cars that no one dare build. Cross between Peugeot L750 R and Mercedes EQ silver arrow

  34. Colin Soderholtz on July 9, 2020 at 1:39 pm

    do the cannonball run

  35. daniel strayer on July 9, 2020 at 1:39 pm

Interesting how the "black puff" reveals how the air is put together behind the car. Aero king.

  36. Martin Beavers on July 9, 2020 at 1:39 pm

    Very cool.

Love the look of this thing.

  39. DarkClosetOfTheMind on July 9, 2020 at 1:51 pm

Congrats on the first run. Looked great.

  40. Trey Chrisostom on July 9, 2020 at 1:52 pm

Are you going to make any changes to how the engine sounds? It looks and (seems to) drive pretty well, but the sound it makes doesn’t quite gel with the personality it gives off based on looks. I don’t know how possible that is with it being a diesel engine, but overall it’s a really cool car!

  41. Raverick on July 9, 2020 at 1:52 pm

Well, well, well, look at this beauty. Casey, you revived your own, first, Frankencar! (in all positive way)
Love it! Would love to see, in future, some active aerodynamics, but not weird like on Zenvo TSR-S, and maybe, bio-diesel solution?

  42. fightmeirl on July 9, 2020 at 1:52 pm

i think they were more stoked to be on camera than testing the car

  43. Viktor Shokur on July 9, 2020 at 1:54 pm

Can anyone tell me what engine is in this thing? I assume it’s a diesel possibly Mercedes?

  44. wlz28 on July 9, 2020 at 1:54 pm

    That thing needs a C8 steering wheel… 😂

  45. Liten Fara on July 9, 2020 at 1:55 pm

Don’t worry about the smoke coming out the exhaust. Everything that triggers mislead FfF activists is just fine.

  46. Danner rrr on July 9, 2020 at 1:55 pm

surprised that it has such ripples in the sides. needs some new blocking and paint.

  47. NYC_Streets718 on July 9, 2020 at 1:57 pm

my old 2009 Jetta TDI had max of 49 mpg with 4 people inside. and it’s not very aerodynamic. So this can beat 100 mpg. I’m sure.

  48. CMDR Boom on July 9, 2020 at 1:57 pm

I’m going to have to side with Gale Banks on diesels and sooty exhaust. If you’re dumping carbon down the pipes, there’s lost power in there too!
Other than that and some further polish, this thing looks Solid.

  49. Texas_stone_ Stone on July 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm

It totally reminds me of one of my sons pinewood derby cars!!!

  50. Tom Gadsby on July 9, 2020 at 2:02 pm

I dont understand what it is ?is it a kit car or something you built….it does look awesome and I can just imagine the speed that would be possible to get out of something so small light and arrow dynamic…..I want 1..not sure on a diesel…only because I have a diesel and I have no clue when it comes to diesels…I have been working on a diesel of and on for 2 years and it still won’t start.
