You can polish the scratches out of the screen with a metal polish compound. (Works fine on scratched CD and DVD also).

This is the first time I see a handheld space invaders console. Nice. Didn’t know these things exist.

That chip is a Texas Instruments TMS1000 series MCU derivative used in many, many consumer product from the eighties. From calculators to portable games like this, it simply had a different embedded mask rom for each application. The Lego RCX has an Hitachi H8 MCU in it, and is essentially a 3 inputs, 3 outputs PLC for kids. I have the 2.0 version of this yellow brick and for some unknown reason Lego had removed the external power connector from it.

I had one of these. Must have been a later revision because it played a little intro tune when you turned it on.

Not sure if I have mentioned ACF50 to you. Unbelievable stuff for penetrating oil and contacts. My motorcycle would get through the winter more or less ok for contacts in the starter group oif switches. Then ….. no starter, press hard a few times etc. Open the two screws holding the switches together, spray them with any contact cleaner, then wait a short while and blip them twice with ACF50. No further problems for over three years !! The guy who introduced it to me told me about a tank of the stuff and a television immeresed into it. The TV was then switched on and it worked fine in a bath of ACF50 ! Ten times better than WD40 also great for cleaning out battery goo !
