So phones with removable batteries do not have a "premium" design? Lol. No, companies just want you to replace your phone after a year. Watching this on my note 3 in 2019.

This is the reason ive kept my note 4 even after purchasing the note 5. The removable battery is a big deal. I hope that Samsung doea not continue this trend.

when will this retarded non-removable battery trend stop. How hard is it to add a door to the phones back. im sick of my phones freezing with no way of turning them off, they ignore the power button and i have to drain the battery….

  9. Centurion on June 3, 2020 at 9:17 am

Meh, I wish one didnt have to choose between LG and some random manufacturer.

I am still angry with LG releaseing the LG optimus 4x, one of their older flagships, with broken baseband, They never fixed that.

The phone was the reason for missed calls. Currently owning a Nexus 6. Apart from the retarded non-removable battery design, no complaints.

  17. Gra Piken on June 3, 2020 at 9:25 am

Non removable batteries both assists the Surveillance State and the smartphone manufacturers by forcing the technology to become disposable and thus increase turnover. In an era where governments lecture populations re recycling and environmental awareness, this exemption for smartphones stands out as being inconsistent and hypocritical.

I would rather go without than buy a smartphone with a non removable battery. It smacks of environmental waste and decadence and is akin to buying a laptop designed with a maximum user life of no more than 2 years.

The Surveillance State exists to monitor Working Class dissent. That’s its main purpose. Terrorism is a red herring.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 still has high specs and works good and amazing camera and removable back 😀

  23. Mr Haze on June 3, 2020 at 9:32 am

Had the note 4…with extra batteries (hardly ever had to connect my phone to a charger)
Now I’ve have the V20 for the past 2 years…with 2 extra batteries (one of them extended)…and now I’m ready for an upgrade. Except NONE of the new good flagships have removable batteries. WTF!!? AND you bastards remove the headphone jack? We don’t need bullshit like an eye-scanner, or 10 friggen cameras. We DO need things like an extra battery on the side, or the ability to listen to music while you’re charging your phone! But nope! Make way for the new phones… with a slightly bigger screen. Oooow…ahhh… Pfft. Stupid.
Guess I’ll be keeping my V20.

  24. HiPlains1 on June 3, 2020 at 9:33 am

Well out of this bunch the G4 is the winner IMO. You can buy it unlocked on Amazon for around 400. Not bad for something with flagship specs. It has an amazing display and camera. Right up there with the S6. Plus the G4 will be getting Android M very soon. They are already testing it in Poland. Once they update to M the standby time should go way up on the G4.

  30. Timothy Thomas on June 3, 2020 at 9:41 am

Do t buy the LG G4 Although have love the camera and the phone . I have 2 of them sitting here worthless as the are only good if they actually boot up. If you buy one it is only a matter of time until it goes into a boot loop that could be like into that of a black hole. And yes I tried all the you tube tech Dr tricks..Such as taking it apart and heating the CPU . Which did a couple x bring life back to it for a day or less . .Although it is a lost cause . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Note 4 still the king, 4k recording, SD card slot and removable battery, beautiful AMOLED display, fast charging, NFC, and a camera that hasn’t aged too bad. I love this phone and will drive it into the ground before I upgrade, but when I do a removable battery is a must. Enough of this planned obsolescence bullshit. Who cares about having the phone waterproof? Make the damn battery removable, something that can actually save the phone in an instance other than being a dumbass and dropping your phone in the toilet!

Too bad the Snapdragon 805 in the Note 4 (US) overheats like crazy. Stay away from this phone.

  45. wowerman on June 3, 2020 at 9:56 am

Naaaah.Galaxy s5 was not mentioned and it tops those phones. Its one of last models having removable battery.Do not buy yet Xiomi as it lags with software, has poorer screen an camera.Do not buy Sony Xperia as has problems when screen cracks its not responsive .Other branded phones still give you grace period of use when you have broken screen until replacing it.Galaxy s5 does not have massive battery but its perfect phone for those who look for quality piece with stable OS and good experience.

Don’t pay attention to the people who criticize your accent, I am sure they must be ignorant waspy purist Americans who have a superiority complex about being perfect speakers of the English language…. almost sure they are ignorant "monolinguals" whereas everyone who sounds different to them are mostly multilingual and smarter…. too bad uneducated people are usually YouTube bashers

Samsung S5 is my favorite with removable battery and storage and water resistance. I can’t imagine not being able to just take my dead battery out and throw a fresh one in from my dedicated battery charger
