70s toys were much simpler than the modern toys you know today. Without having much technology available, kids had to entertain themselves with toys made out of simple design. But you’ll be surprised when you learn just how popular some of these gadgets were. From Atari 2600, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, Spirograph, the Mouse Trap Game, Pong, and Mastermind to Weebles, Chatter Telephone, Pick Up Sticks, Stretch Armstrong, and Micronauts, these are some of the most popular 70s toys no kid would want to receive today!

It’s hard to believe modern kids would even play with sticks for a very long time, but Pick Up Sticks were some of the most popular toys of the 70s. The concept of the game was simple, but it demanded complete focus that often resulted in a few tantrums. Wait until you see these 20 toys from the 70s no kid would want to receive today!

So that first thing. Where in the hot, crispy, Kentucky fried f*ck do I start?

-the Atari 2600 was like, the 700th console to be released with a few hundred pong consoles, the Fairchild channel F, and Magnavox freakin’ odyssey predating the 2600 by many years.

-the console was NOT exciting in the 70s. It wan’t until 1980-81 did people actually have any interest in the console.

-it will be a cold day in hell before anyone will utter the words: “Atari 2600 sucks”

  13. Painful InklingFighter on August 14, 2020 at 12:58 pm

Yes, because kids don’t play board games anymore, or know how to use things without screens 😒. This video is such a joke, and one that no one is laughing at.

  14. John Rex on August 14, 2020 at 12:59 pm

Atari 2600 clunky, maybe. Poorly designed? No chance. That was cutting edge tech then that enabled the better stuff to come. Try to make a playable game in 4K of code.

  15. Poor Collectibles48 on August 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm

I LOVE the electronic football game. I played and played it over and over especially when my parents watched football games on tv. I would play it every day. Man I loved that video game. I still have it and it still works…although the buttons are warn down and faded. Best game ever. I had a pattern and would always win…lol.

If kids from the 70s were shown the toys of the "modern kids" they would probably not play with them either. Humans adjust to their environment.

I LOVE THOSE CUBES I HAVE A LOT AND I USE THEM THATS MEAN

  34. Aaron Jared Windsor on August 14, 2020 at 1:20 pm

Wow. How bad was that? D&D was not a "card game". Mattel electronics had: Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Battlestar Galactica … not just "Football". Mastermind is not "complicated". Chatter telephone … who cares if it is rotary, the point was not to understand how to use a phone, it was about interaction and responsive stimulus (still relevant). Stretch Armstrong was not a "stress release toy" … it was tactile & fun. This is clearly a video produced by dimwits unable to view an interactive world beyond their own digital constraints.

  35. Tamara Saveva on August 14, 2020 at 1:21 pm

We still play the sticks in my class.

  36. Sierra Moore on August 14, 2020 at 1:22 pm

YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG !!! You never even asked any kids if they liked it these toys. 100% of these comments are about how much kids love this stuff. Kids are smart and you are calling them dumb with this video when they know dragons and dungeons isn’t a card game. I play atari still ,and the water ring toss game when i have my own computer. Please stop with these videos.

  37. Phionix 18 on August 14, 2020 at 1:25 pm

I have played with half of all these things and I’m 13 years old yeah people these days totally don’t want to play with these I’m a big 90s nerd
